Charlie Lane - Banbury ElectricianMy name is Charlie Lane and I am C R Lane Electrical. If you call to seek advice or make an enquiry then you will speak to me and if I have my head under someone’s floorboards somewhere you will probably speak to my wife.

I’m telling you this so that you know that you’re dealing with a man, not a company, so I have full ownership of each job and am committed to seeing things through from the initial phone call, through the job and testing, right up to you looking me in the eye and telling me you are happy with the job.

As an electrician I have over 20 years of experience and a good working knowledge of electrical systems; old and new. The qualifications that prove that I am worthy of the trust you are thinking about bestowing on me are:

Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS7671 2008). I am up to date with the latest edition of the wiring regulations

  • City & Guilds 2391

Level 3 certificate in inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations which covers me to enter property in order to test, inspect and report on any findings.

  • City & Guilds 2377

Level 3 certificate of management of electrical equipment maintenance and Portable Appliance Testing.

  • Part P Approved Contractor

I am also registered with ELECSA as a Part P Approved contractor for electrical work in the home.

As an indication of my level of experience, I have been doing this all my life since I did an apprenticeship straight out of school. During the apprenticeship I got the following certificates:

  • BTEC ONC Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Engineering Training Authority (EnTra) Certificate of Verified Achievement

EnTra BTEC National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 Engineering Manufacture (Craft Competences) Maintenance Practices

  • The Engineering Industry Training Board (EITB) Certificate of Validated Achievement

Broad based training and electrical maintenance skills consisting of fitting and assembly, electrical and specialist electrical.
